Popular comedy American Yacht in the Port of Split (Amerikanska jahta u splitskoj luci, 1930) by Croatian modernist poet, writer and internationally successful playwright Milan Begović (1876-1948) is the author’s shift from grotesque and avant-garde towards realism and more conventional style – towards the taste of the audience.
